Many changes have taken place over the years in the company and in the industry since Alfred E. Robinson began operating the company with one truck in 1950. There were a lot of conversions in the beginning: From wood to petroleum fuels, from kerosene heaters to oil-fired furnaces.
He originally worked for Mobil at the Bangor terminal. When the distributorship opened up in 1950, Robinson successfully applied for it and moved his family to Dover-Foxcroft from Bangor. |
