A. E. Robinson Oil Co., Inc Again as the industry was changing, A.E. Robinson had to change strides. The new trend was convenience stores with self-service gas, leaving the days of full service stations behind. The Brownville station was renovated into a C-store in 1991, followed by the Corinna station in 1992. Full service delis were added at both locations in 1996.

Robinson purchased locations in Sangerville in 1992, Dexter in 1994, and Monson in 1996.

In 1997 Triangle Service in Guilford was completely torn down and a new C-store was built in its place with a single service bay in the back. Also in 1997 the company added its first bulk propane storage tank on West Main Street in Dover-Foxcroft to improve the level of service for the growing propane business. In the past, the truck had to go to Hampden to load before making deliveries. Having the 42,000-gallon tank in Dover-Foxcroft would save greatly in transportation costs.

East Corinth was the next addition to the Robinson family of stores. A new store with full service deli, drive-up window along with gas and diesel was built on Route 15 in 1998.

Later that same year the Pittsfield location was added.

In 1998-99 A.E. Robinson Oil Co. was recognized nationally by Mobil Oil Corporation. The following is an excerpt from the company: Congratulations to all 1998-99 Pegasus Circle of Excellence winners.
