Jim's three children all work for the company. Jamie is the operations manager and is also in charge of the Greenville operation, while Mark is responsible for doing the installation estimates for the company. Both work out of the Dover-Foxcroft office. Jim's daughter, Jennifer Cleaves, is the store manager of the Dover-Foxcroft C-store. Two nephews, Peter and Billy Robinson, work in the service department, where Billy is the manager. Twin grandson's Jeffrey and Jarrod Robinson both work summers and vacations doing an assortment of jobs.

The company has three 12,000-gallon-capacity transport trucks that can haul all types of fuel. These trucks haul fuel from terminals in Bangor and in Searsport to Robinson Oil's three bulk plants, located in Dover-Foxcroft, Dexter, and Greenville, and to retail businesses in the A.E. Robinson Oil Co. service areas in Piscataquis, Penobscot and Somerset counties as well as to its own gas stations. The company also delivers to schools, municipalities and other major industries. In addition to the 3 transport trucks, there are also 10 fuel delivery trucks and 4 propane delivery trucks. The service department has 15 licensed service technicians available for servicing both residential and commercial heating equipment. Technicians are required to be licensed for all aspects of the business, including underground tank installations, LP gas delivery and installation, solid fuel (wood) and oil. Each area requires a separate license. The Maine Oil Dealers Association schedules classes throughout the year to keep up to speed with changes in the industry and equipment. They also schedule classes for new items. Technicians also take hazardous material training.

A.E. Robinson is not only a member of the Southern Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce, Maine Motor Transport Association and the Maine Oil Dealers Association's Worker Compensation Committee, but also supports the local school systems, youth sporting events and various community activities. Many of the AE Robinson staff volunteer as local firefighters, selectmen, and school board members.

A.E. Robinson Oil Co. also takes part in the annual ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program which is a $500 grant to help fund some sort of educational program at a local school. Each of A.E. Robinson Oil Company's Mobil locations are eligible to apply for this grant for a school in their community. That's $4500 per year put into the local school systems through the partnership of A.E. Robinson Oil Company and ExxonMobil.
