3rd Annual Community Bike/Walk in 2004
The 3rd Annual Guilford Area Kiwanis Community Bike-Walk that was held on October 24th was a success! The weather that day was partly sunny and cool. The Halloween costumes the walkers wore helped keep them warm.
Combined business sponsorships and pledges from the community reflected in a profit for the day of a little more than $4,500. All participants that raised at least $50 in pledges were given a long sleeved T-shirt depicting the name of the event with the generous sponsors listed on the rest of the shirt. AE Robinson Oil Co. 's donation allowed them to adorn the back.
The Kiwanis is always looking to assist children in the Guilford area.
All of the monies raised will be used to benefit the following:
Boy Scouts
SAD #4 Scholarships
Books for the Guilford Memorial Library and Sangerville Library
Harmony Camp
United Methodist Church Food Cupboard
Christmas Program for SAD #4 children
Ski Program
Don Osborne Playground
